TUM Tumbling

    TUM Tumbling

Tumbling is one of 4 components in the Trampoline Gymnastics discipline and is a newly created competitive stream at Saints Gym Club for both boys and girls.  Tumblers perform two passes demonstrating sequences of forward, backward and sideward skills, rotating from hands to feet and feet to feet.

Competition gymnasts are selected by trial and invitation from the club with our GfA members taking priority.  It is not necessary  to start in Level 1 if the required skills have been achieved in our GfA program.  The club will consider accepting gymnasts from other clubs by exception in our higher levels.

Due to the increased commitment required to be successful in this program, attendance is expected at all training sessions. Makeup classes are not available and no refund will be issued for missed sessions.

Competitions

Competitions are held at the State Gymnastic Centre at Marion and are compulsory, with the opportunity to also participate in country and interclub competitions.

For competitions, gymnasts will be required to purchase a club leotard, scrunchie (girls), jacket and bag.  If purchasing secondhand, ensure they are TUM items.  Black leggings can be purchased where available.

Parental help is required at competitions usually as a door person, panel secretary, judge or music operator. Courses are offered annually to gain judging accreditation.

All parents will be expected to help at some stage.
